I can't login. I type in my username and password but it doesn't go to the character selection screen
Make sure you have the correct IP in your swgemu_login.cfg file. If you
are sure you have the correct IP, it is very possible the server is
down. Please try connecting at a later time. The issue could also be
your username is already taken. Please try using a different username.
I can login but then get stuck at "connecting to Galaxy"
This means the login server is running but the zone server is down.
This is not an issue on your end but instead requires the admins to
restart the zone server. Please try again later.
My character is missing??
Some updates made to the server requires the admins to wipe the
database clean. This means all accounts and characters are deleted.
This usually happens during most updates so please expect your
characters to be deleted. If you have specific items you want to keep
on your characters, please write down the @giveitem # for future
reference. This will allow you to generate your items easier when you
create your new character.
I lost chat! I can move around but I can't talk and I do see anyone else talking.
This means you have lost connection to the server. Pressing SHIFT+ESC
will bring up a prompt that will allow you to disconnect. This will put
you back at the character creation screen. Select your character and
click next. You should be able to get back ingame. If this doesn't
work, try exiting SWG and logging back in. If this doesn't work, the
server is down, please try again later.
I occasionally get disconnected, where my chat stops working and I can't see other players chat.
This is a common bug right now with the emulator. This means you have
lost connection to the server. Pressing SHIFT+ESC will bring up a
prompt that will allow you to disconnect. This will put you back at the
character creation screen. Select your character and click next. You
should be able to get back ingame. If this doesn't work, try exiting
SWG and logging back in. If this doesn't work, the server is down,
please try again later.
I get stuck at "Loading Objects" during loading.
This used
to be an old issue and to be honest I haven't experienced it in a
while. I can't remember the exact cause but I would suggest exiting SWG
and relogging back in. This should fix the issue. If you can't login or
get stuck at "connecting to galaxy" the server is down and that is why
the loading failed.
Once I get ingame, everything is very dark and black.
This is caused by an out-dated DLL file. You will need to download the
dpvs.dll file and place it in your SWG directory. You can download the
DLL file here.
When I try to start SWGEmu, I'm told I am missing a DLL file called mss32.dll.
You will need to download the mss32.dll file and place it in your SWG directory. You can download the file here.
My client crashes to desktop and I get a text file in my SWG that says "SWGEmu.exe-stage.111212-2006" "FATAL 82674e4e"
This means you are missing some or all of the patch files. You will need to re-download them from here.
My client crashes to desktop and I get a text file in my SWG that says "SWGEmu.exe-stage.111212-2006" "FATAL 4d962776"
This is caused by your shortcut to SWGEMu.exe being incorrect. First,
please make sure you are clicking on the shortcut and not the EXE file
itself. Make sure you followed the connection guide provided by your
admins correctly and updating your shortcut to display this in the
target field: "C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\SWGEmu.exe" -- -s
Station subscriptionFeatures=1 gameFeatures=255
The "C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\SWGEmu.exe" should be the path
to your SWGEmu.exe so you will need to update this to show the correct
path to your SWGEmu.exe

"SWGEmu.exe-stage.111212-2006" "FATAL 55fd64d9:

Try updating your video
card drivers. Some people have been able to get this working be fooling
around with settings in the SWGEmu_setup.exe. Try selecting everything
in the Graphics section of the SWGEmu_setup.exe or running it in
Windowed mode.
